Events Manager - IWM
Job Description
The Events Manager will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing a diverse range of events that promote IWM and its exhibitions and collections to a wide audience across IWM’s five venues.
The candidate will work closely with all relevant IWM teams including Development, Stakeholders, Communications, Participation, and the in-house caterers to develop and deliver successful events that promote the museums mission and values across all five IWM venues.
Events would include:
- Opening Private Views for all major exhibitions
- Executive, Board and Trustee dinners
- Receptions at Donor and Patron Events
- Other Fundraising and Outreach events
Responsibilities
In addition, your duties will include:
- Development of Event briefs outlining key elements of each event and communication with appropriate stakeholders on event set-up (caterers, security, AV, FM, etc.)
- Work with in-house caterers on the development of menus for all events based on the needs and requirements of the key hosts of the event. Would also be responsible for working with outside or third-party vendors on any elements of event.
- Work with relevant departments on development of guest lists and seating placements for dinners.
- Responsible for preparing briefing notes on events for all key stakeholders.
- Oversee complete set-up, running and take-down of each event.
- Work with relevant teams on a formal evaluation of each event and publishing of key lessons learned for future events.
