Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) to take forward the Trust's agenda for digital improvement and IT stabilisation. The role broadly comprises two main parts, IT leadership and Digital leadership and will build on a recent digital strategy review.

Responsibilities
• Act as the ‘principal advisor’ to the board and the CEO on digital and IT matters
• Project manage the Siteworks programme
• Lead the IT team, motivating staff, encouraging their development, and recognising achievement and ensure that they deliver on their areas of responsibility
• Complete the review of the current Trust IT foundations and ensure the current structure is working optimally
• Ensure digital and IT solutions/projects are delivered successfully, using recognised methods(such as programme management and ‘agile’) against pre-agreed targets and business cases, and that digital services are sustainable in the longer term
• Bring innovation, whilst ensuring that the benefits from digital and technology investment are realised and measurable, with a focus on the needs of local u3as and u3a members
• Support the CEO and the Third Age Trust in promoting digital and technology opportunity across the organisation, including the necessary cultural and behavioural changes and the consensus for digital modernisation
• Represent the u3a locally and nationally as required, and in working groups, on a range of IT and related digital initiatives.
