Accounts Administrator
Job Description
The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers is one of the UK's largest trade unions, with members working in retail, distribution, food processing and manufacturing, and other industries (sectors).
Responsibilities
The duties outlined below are not intended to be an exhaustive list but are simply to indicate the main activities of the postholder:
- Inputting of all supplier invoices.
- Inputting of all staff and member expense claims forms.
- Maintain supplier and member account records.
- Any other duties commensurate with the grade, allocated by the Accounts Payable Manager.
Job Requirements
The successful applicant will possess: a basic knowledge and experience of accounting software (Usdaw use NetSuite Accounting Software); a methodical approach with close attention to detail; basic accountancy skills, including the ability to balance accounts and knowledge of accounts payable processes; the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and have well-developed planning and organisational skills; IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel; tact, initiative and discretion.
